CARD

Churches Action in Relief and Development (CARD) is a humanitarian-church based NGO established in 1995 and with 19 member churches.

CARD implements programmes in the areas of climate change, food security, HIV and AIDS, water and sanitation, income generation and capacity building of communities. CARD has vast experience in food security projects through solar irrigation schemes; provision of portable water through drilling of boreholes and corresponding water management; as well as promotion of use of renewable energy sources.

CARD's mission is to provide emergency relief assistance in short term to communities affected by disasters and in the longer term to support and empower communities both economically and socially.

As part of the CCPM it works with communities in the Machinga district.
