CADECOM Chikwawa

The Catholic Development Commission (CADECOM) for the Chikwawa Diocese was founded in 1984 and run programmes on reducing food security including improved agricultural technologies, small scale irrigation and livestock production, improving sanitation, increasing awareness of climate change and HIV and AIDs.

They have vast experience helping communities use technologies that prevent soil erosion; production of manure at household and community levels; community level disaster risk management; as well as the promotion of improved household nutrition and income through small livestock and small-scale irrigation including solar power.

As a Catholic development agency they work with any vulnerable groups of society without looking at colour, religion or ethnicity.

Within the CCPM it works with communities in the Chikwawa district.
